Sex survey…..ooooh!

Just something to pass the time. I should be studying for a skills test I’m required to take tomorrow, but I’ve been working on it…and now it’s time for a distraction.

1. How many months (days? weeks? years??) into the relationship did it take for you or your significant other (from now on referred to as the S/O) to say “I love you”?
-It was definitely a few months.
2. Who said it first? -Me, I believe.
3. Was “I love you” said before or after the first time that the two of you had sex? -I think before….wait, yes. I know it was before.
4. How old were you the first time that you had sex? -17
5. How far into the relationship was it until you first had sex with your S/O? -A couple of months. I made Ryan wait.
6. Who had more experience: you or your S/O? -Hahaha….definitely Ryan.
7. If you don’t live with your S/O, how often do you communicate without being face-to-face? -N/A
8. After the initial time that you had sex with your S/O, did you spend more or less time with them doing non-sexual-activities? -umm…less? Kidding. The same amount of time, think.
9. Have you ever dated someone that your parents would not approve of (i.e. either by socio-economic status, race, education) how did they react when they found out? (Did they find out or did you just keep it a secret?) How did they react? -Not really. Although, I don’t think they were very fond of my ex, and I don’t know that I blame them.
10. Did you plan the first time that you had sex or was it just a spur-of-the-moment thing? -Definitely not planned…but I don’t know if it was spur of the moment either.

Nothing like a day at the beach…..

Living in Jersey, I grew up with the whole Jersey Shore beach vacation every year. Many a summers of mine as a child, and now my children, have been spent at the Jersey shore. Wandering the beaches of Ocean City, Sea Isle, and of course Wildwood. And when in Wildwood, it’s impossible to forget about Morey’s Pier. I can’t begin to tell you the amount of fun that is to be had at Morey’s Pier. With so many great rides, water parks, and who can go to the boardwalk with getting their famous fries and funnel cake?! It’s become a landmark for New Jersey, and a family friendly place that should be visited by all.

And while you’re thinking about heading to the Jersey shore on your next vacation, why not check out their website, and take use of the great specials they have going on now through January? I mean hey, who doesn’t want to have a great vacation, and pay enjoy a good sale while you’re booking it? I know I do!

Over at their website, you’ll find deals for season passes for 2009, holiday tickets, and more. Not only that, while you’re checking out your passes to the parks, why not look for a hotel to make a vacation out of it? On the Morey’s Pier website, you’ll find info on not only the great parks, but on dining, hotels, and upcoming events.

What are you waiting for? Doesn’t the sound of waves, the warmth of the sun, and a great family friendly amusement park entice you? I know it makes me excited…so get going! Book your Jersey vacation now!

Sick.

I swear, our house is like a sick house. I feel like crap, Ryan isn’t feeling good, and Abigail isn’t well either. Poor little lady was up more than half the night coughing. She never really cried or anything, though we did go in to check on her a few times. She just kept coughing, and coughing, and coughing. I called her doctor and made an appointment to see them. She’s been sick for a week now, and I just don’t want to take the chance that she’ll get worse, especially with her immune system being a little bit weaker. It’s better to be safe :)

As for me, I think I might call too. I haven’t been sick like this…..in as long as I can remember. I don’t get sick often, especially not for this long. I think a lot of it is allergies, but still. I don’t want to feel like this anymore, and it’s not good for the kids for me to be this way.

Oh well, I suppose I’ll go get ready for Abigail’s appointment. And afterwards, pizza!

Resurfaced Pt. II

Ok, it’s been longer than I thought it would be. But, here I am….and here’s an update. So much has happened since July, and since there’s a lot to update on….I think I’ll just use bullets to organize my thoughts. Or at least try to organize them!

  • Summer/end of summer - Gee. What can I say? We did so much this summer, between shore trips and family get togethers. Overall, it was a great summer, and the kids loved every minute of being at the beach, and being outside. It got a little hectic throughout August though, because of all our doctors appointments and whatnot. But, I’m working on getting all my pictures and everything updated to both of my flickrs. But, editing has become tedious because of the thousands I’ve taken over the last month-ish.
  • Abigail - Speaking of doctors appointments, things are finally settling down with her. Where did I leave off in her saga? Oh, the follow-up with Endocrinology. So, we took her down, and were happy that she did in fact grow (she’s finally 30in and over 20lbs!). So the conclusion - she’s probably going to be tiny, but I want to send her to the GI Specialist and just get a consult. Fast forward to last week. We see the GI doc (she was really awesome too, btw), and she isn’t convinced that it’s Celiac because there aren’t really any GI symptoms. So, it’s time for more tests. She sends us for more blood work (which we’re still waiting on), and then says she wants to do a sweat test to rule of Cystic Fibrosis, along with sending us to an Immunologist to figure out why her IgA is in fact low. At this point, my blood pressure sky rockets, and I’m just left thinking WTF?! Still no answers?! CF?! But, we did the sweat test on Thursday, and got the results yesterday (thank God) and they were negative for CF (thank God again!!). So now we wait on the blood work, and the next appointment in October. Ugh! Does this stuff ever end?!
  • School/Work - Well, fall is approaching and with it comes another semester. So far it’s not so bad, but Art is proving to me that I’m not artistic in the form of drawing. Computer stuff, design, photography? Yes. Drawing and art projects? Double negative. But it’s interesting so far. I start my other class next week, so Wednesdays are quickly going to become hell days. Work has also started back up, but I’m still not into the swing of things, and other than bartending on Sundays, I don’t really have a schedule with Aunt Jo yet. I’m getting there, as we’ve been a little busy ;)

I feel like I’m leaving so much out, and that there’s so much more I want to say. I guess I’ve bored all enough for now, so I’m off to get some grub, and get the kids situated for the day. Apparently Ryan is having a poker night, so I need to get moving on getting the house straightened up and all…housework is always fun ;)

night lights!?

Does anyone know where I can find night lights? I’m not talking about the regular ones that plug into the outlet, like you would have in the bathroom or something. I’m looking for an actual night light with a cord for my daughter. The problem is, the way her room is set up, it’s impossible to have the wall plug in ones as it won’t shine light from the outlet.

If anyone knows where I can find one, I would really appreciate it. I’ve been trying to search but haven’t been having much luck.

Resurfaced.

I’m alive. I’ve thrown up something temporary, because I was tired of the old stuff. I am however, working on the finishing touches of what was supposed to be up forever ago.

Things have been pretty crazy lately. Doctors appointments, shore trips, end of summer stuff… just too much. Mainly it’s been the doctor stuff that’s had me all tied up, and just exhausted from the stress of it all. And today, was of course another one of those days. I’m worn out, can’t wait for everything to be over.

[I’ll have a new post in the morning, with everything that’s been going on. One of the kids is crying. And after I take care of that, there’s a blanket calling my name. Today has been super stressful, and I just need to relax.]

Cleaners?

What kind of cleaners do you guys use? Right now we’re using Method for some stuff, but not all. I love their products, especially since they’re green and organic. But, I was wondering what other organic products are out there. With L’s allergies and mine, I like to be as safe as possible when using stuff…

Uncommon goods.

i’ve become obsessed with uncommon goods. that is all.

naps, storms, and crochet.

I couldn’t be more relaxed right now. Both kids are peacefully sleeping…there’s a storm going outside…and I have my crochet stuff in hand. I’m working on a couple projects (will post pics soon) for the Ravelympics over at ravelry.com. I thought it would be something fun, relaxing, and yet motivating to do. Let’s hope I can keep it up, and not doze off on this dreary afternoon!
